Practical Data & Automation Solutions for Small Manufacturers

Every engagement starts small. We prove ROI before you commit to anything larger.

We don't do one-size-fits-all technology transformations. We do focused, defined-scope engagements that solve specific operational problems — with measurable outcomes you can take to your ownership team.

Our work falls into four service areas. Most clients start with a Rapid Assessment, then move into a Pilot Implementation targeting their highest-ROI opportunity.

Data Analysis & Operational Dashboards

See Your Operation Clearly — In Real Time

Most manufacturers are making decisions based on data that's hours or days old, manually compiled, or simply missing. We connect your existing data sources — PLCs, SCADA, ERP, quality systems — into a single, live operational picture.

What We Build

  • Real-time OEE dashboards
  • Shift performance reports (automated)
  • Quality trend monitoring & SPC charts
  • Downtime tracking & root cause analysis tools
  • Executive dashboards for ownership & management

Tools We Use

  • Grafana
  • Power BI
  • InfluxDB
  • Python
  • SQL

Typical Outcomes

  • Eliminate 3–5 hours/week of manual reporting per shift supervisor
  • Identify top downtime contributors within the first 30 days
  • OEE baseline established for continuous improvement tracking

Data & Workflow Automation

Stop Doing Manually What a Machine Can Do Automatically

Manual data transfer between systems. Paper-based quality checklists. Work orders generated by copy-paste. These processes drain operator time and introduce errors — and they're almost always automatable.

What We Build

  • Automated data pipelines (PLC → database → ERP → dashboard)
  • Work order generation triggered by sensor thresholds or schedule
  • Quality data capture and reporting automation
  • Automated alerts (email, SMS, Slack) for critical events
  • ERP integration — connect MES or SCADA to business systems

Tools We Use

  • n8n
  • Node-RED
  • Python
  • Airbyte
  • dbt / Prefect

Typical Outcomes

  • Eliminate 5–15 hours/week of manual data entry across the operation
  • Near-zero data transcription errors
  • Real-time data flow from floor to office

Custom Software Development

When Off-the-Shelf Doesn't Fit Your Process

Sometimes your operation is specific enough that commercial software doesn't map to it. We build custom tools for manufacturers who need something that actually fits — operator interfaces, custom MES modules, tracking systems, and integrations between systems that weren't designed to talk to each other.

What We Build

  • Custom operator-facing HMI and data entry interfaces
  • Production tracking and scheduling tools
  • Inventory and materials management modules
  • Custom ERP/MES integrations and data bridges
  • Legacy system modernization
  • Internal tooling for quality, maintenance, and operations teams

Tools We Use

  • Python / JavaScript / TypeScript
  • REST APIs
  • OPC-UA / MQTT
  • SQL / PostgreSQL

Typical Outcomes

  • Replace spreadsheet-based systems with maintainable, scalable software
  • Eliminate paper-based workflows
  • Integrate previously siloed systems

AI Agent Deployment

Put Intelligent Automation to Work on Your Hardest Operational Problems

AI agents aren't magic. They're specialized software that can monitor, reason, and act on structured operational data — handling repetitive decision-making so your people can focus on work that actually requires human judgment. We deploy focused, single-purpose agents on well-defined manufacturing problems. No vague "AI transformation." Specific tools. Measurable results.

What We Build

  • Predictive maintenance agents (sensor → anomaly → alert → work order)
  • Quality inspection integration (defect detection → alert)
  • Production scheduling assistants
  • Operational reporting agents (automated shift summaries)
  • Process monitoring agents (KPI drift alerts)

Tools We Use

  • LangChain / LangGraph
  • Python
  • Anthropic Claude API
  • Edge-deployed SLMs
  • MCP integrations

Typical Outcomes

  • Unplanned downtime reduction: 25–40%
  • Maintenance cost reduction: 20–35%
  • Time to first maintenance alert: minutes vs. hours or days
Our approach to AI safety: All agents are deployed read-only by default. Write or action permissions require explicit client approval and are designed with human-in-the-loop confirmation for any consequential operations.

How Every Engagement Works

Common Questions

Do you work on hourly or fixed-fee?

Both. Assessments and pilots are always fixed-fee — you know exactly what you're paying before we start. Retainers are monthly fixed. For large or complex custom development projects, we may use time-and-materials with a not-to-exceed cap.

What's the minimum engagement?

A Rapid Assessment at $3,000. That's the lowest-risk, lowest-commitment entry point. If your situation is better served by a quick consultation or a referral to another resource, we'll tell you that on the first call.

Do you offer value-based pricing?

For engagements with clearly documented ROI — typically predictive maintenance or automation projects where the savings are calculable — we can price at 10–20% of first-year savings. This requires establishing a measurable baseline before the engagement starts.

What's your payment structure?

50% at engagement start, 25% at midpoint, 25% on delivery. Retainers billed monthly in advance.

Not sure which service fits your situation?

Start with a free 30-minute call. Describe what's not working operationally, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can help with — and which starting point makes the most sense.
